The CEIAG framework established in King's Manor school has taken full account of a range of influences and national developments:
- The 14 to 19 agenda
- Enterprise Education Careers Education and Guidance in England
- A National Framework 11 – 19
- Curriculum 2008
- The changing world of work which pupils will enter
- Social inclusion and raising achievement
- The greater flexibility allowed by curriculum changes
- Every Child Matters
The CEIAG programme supports these aims and adheres to the school’s equal opportunities policy by ensuring equal access to all aspects of careers education and guidance regardless of aptitude, ability, sex or ethnic background.
Pupils are entitled to receive clear and unbiased careers education and guidance be made aware of opportunities in Further Education, Higher Education and the World of Work. The school determines to offer all pupils a range of advice and experiences that will enable them to make considered judgements choices for their future at relevant stages in their school careers.
