Apples

Richard Milward was born in 1984 in Middlesbrough, UK. His debut novel, Apples, was published by Faber & Faber in 2007 to great critical acclaim in the UK, receiving accolades from such folk as Irvine Welsh ("One of the best books I've ever read about being young, working-class and British") and Lauren Laverne ("Funny, tragic, and transcendent").

The first stage adaptation of Richard Milward’s remarkable debut novel, Apples is a co-production between Northern Stage and Company of Angels.

Year 9 and 10 will be taking part in a series of workshops with Northern stage over the course of 4 whole days based upon the novel.
